Mary Stuart and Jimmy’s wedding day was like a dream you never wanted to wake up from. It was one of those perfect North Georgia days—a bright and high sun over an outdoor ceremony, not a cloud in the sky. Walters Barn in Lula, GA is a secluded barn-style venue surrounded by thick, green forest, and a ceremony set up right by a mirrored lake made for a dreamy place to say, “I do.” Every bit of this day was truly lovely.

Over seven years ago, Mary Stuart and Jimmy both swiped right on Tinder. After hanging out a few times and having a lot of fun together, they both knew it was the real deal… The rest is history.

The small moments are what tell the story of each wedding day, and being able to capture special moments for a couple to look back on is truly an honor. After getting ready in the Walters Barn’s gorgeous bridal cabin in Lula, GA, we did some quick photo sessions to capture some of these moments before heading to the venue. Mary Stuart and her dad had their father-daughter first look—It is always a beautiful thing to witness the pride and emotion in a father’s eyes on his daughter’s wedding day, and this was a moment that did not disappoint. Mary Stuart and Jimmy read letters to each other, side by side, without peaking—saving the first look for the ceremony.

Mary Stuart and Jimmy moved with a natural grace throughout the day that showed they truly believed in the love they were committing themselves to, and it is an honor to be able to capture a natural, easy love like that. The Walter’s Barn was the perfect place to say, “I do.” Its high, arching ceilings and all the natural light were a photographer’s dream. Its forested surroundings made for a nice amount of privacy, and it was complete with the perfect spot by the river to set up for an outdoor ceremony in North Georgia.

The night ended with lively dancing and smiles all around. This was such a fun, beautiful day and I was so thankful to be a part of it. Congratulations Mary Stuart and Jimmy!
