I’m so excited to share images from a recent wedding I did that took place at White Laurel Estate in Dawsonville, which was obviously the PERFECT location since the newlyweds had a romantic, rustic-inspired wedding! Laura and Jess thought this thing through from beginning to end, and there wasn’t a shortage of dreamy.
I mean, check this out:
I especially loved the “honeymoon fund” vintage suitcase, not to mention the sage fabric with lace. And can we talk about those florals for a second?
Laura’s bouquet was designed by her Matron of Honor and florist, Marti, and I don’t think she could have chosen a more gorgeous blooms. Do you?
I will never grow tired of rustic, chic weddings, especially when they’re done so impeccably like this one. Congratulations again on your wedding, you two, and may your years be filled with happiness and plenty of funny faces!
“We spent hours talking and walking around the downtown square of Lawrenceville u til way too late. Our second date he spilled his heart out to me… He later called to apologize and said he hopes I didn’t get freaked out while assuring me he would never get that mushy and awkward again. I remember thinking how handsome he was and thought he would never be interested in me. A few months into our dating, he went on a business trip out of town. He came to the conclusion on that trip that he was in love with me and couldn’t wait to tell me. I asked if he was sure. He laughed.”
He proposed Christmas Eve Eve in his living room in front of the fire while watching Hallmark Christmas movies and a glass of eggnog. I was telling him how good my day was. Shot a deer, baked cookies, played with the kid, and now relaxing with my love. I looked over and he pulled a beautiful ring out from behind him and asked me if I would make his day and life even better. I told him no. Then asked him if he was sure. He laughed.
