First Birthday Smash Cake

May 9, 2019

Cue the Doublemint Gum commercial, kids, because we’re heading into twin-land!  One of our latest birthday sessions involves not one babe, but two of them. Remember Ansley & Charlotte, Dacula’s cutest dynamic duo. We have been photographing this family for years.  We have done newborn photos for all four of them in addition to all of their family sessions.  And now, we got to capture their first birthday smash cake session.   Mom and Dad definitely have their hands full with these four, but they are also super lucky. I mean…

Don’t you just love those big blue eyes? And it was so fun to photograph them because who doesn’t love a good birthday theme! Mom decided to go with pineapples and watermelons! In other words, she probably spent lots of time of Pinterest.  But, serious, how cute??!

Just a couple more of our favorite shots from the day:

A first birthday session is all about the smash cake!  These babes went to town!  They started with one finger full of icing at a time, but after that, went in for the full smash cake experience!

Their adorable shirts were made by Tess Etc.  Charlotte’s first birthday shirt says “One in a Melon” and Ansley’s read “Sweet Little One”.  They go perfectly with the watermelon and pineapple theme.

Can’t wait to watch these little ones grow up! Congratulations (and good luck – hehe), Mom and Dad!  Happy First Birthday, girls, we love you!
