Struggling trying to figure out what to wear for your summer family photo session?

Summer sessions are a great way to get fun, silly portraits!  But it’s hot outside!  Fear not. Here are some cool wardrobe tips to make sure your summer family photo session is a hit: 

• • Wear light fabrics that let you breath, but still look polished. It’s OK to show some skin, too. Shorts are good, as are tank tops. Cold shoulders are always welcome!
  • Really play up the summer accessory factor. I’m talking sun hats for the ladies and big sunglasses for all. 
  • Choose shoes that are comfortable and summery. Flip flops, loafers, open-toed pumps, even sweet sneakers on your kiddos. 

Want to see how we coordinate outfits for the family?  I personally love soft, relaxed flowing materials.  Here are a few outfits for the family that we found at H&M!  I love the pastels.  I first found the seersucker dress with pastel butterflies and feel in love.   Then I searched for something the same color pink for mom.  The soft pink with sexy cold shoulders dress was perfect!  After that, A button down Oxford with the sleeved rolled up and shorts for ties in the blue.  Lastly, the shirt, shorts and bow tie for baby bro!

Next is the fun part!!! ACCESSORIES!  For instance, Aviator Sunglasses and Straw Fedora for Brother,  Flower Headband, Mirrored Heart-Shaped Glasses, and Butterly Crossbody Purse for sister.  Straw hat and earrings for mom!  And here is the best part…all from Old Navy or H&M and $10 or less!!!

Lastly, let’s really get crazy!  You can even bring summer-appropriate props that complement your outfits. Maybe it’s a beach ball, balloons, giant lollipop or messy ice cream cone.  We’d LOVE to brainstorm with you on this!
